Louise, the proprietor of Thirteen Moons – a retreat situated in lovely cottage country, wanted a modern look for her spa’s website. She liked the structure of the old site but it wasn’t displaying well on tablets and smartphones. So I basically recreated the site using an up-to-date WordPress theme, keeping more or less the same colours and content structure.
The sited hadn’t been updated in a while so we had to make other behind-the-scene changes, including replacing the homepage slider plugin – the old one wasn’t responsive. The site now uses Soliloquy Lite, which is free and allows for text to be added on top of the image. It’s also very customizable.
We updated her WooCommerce plugin – Louise sells a few items online, mostly her beautiful cookbooks. The setup of the shop was improved andnavigation is now a bit more straightforward.
And finally, we installed the WP-Print plugin so viewers could print her recipes with the click of a button. Her site employs a variety of other plugins, including one to run her calendar of events and one to display her Twitter feed.
